Welcome to Common Ground
So you wanna go out to a nightclub for a few drinks, do some dancing and have a good time? Common Ground is the place to make it happen! Our nightclub has been chosen in past years for "Best Place To Go Dancing", "Best Bar" and "Best Bartender" by the Ithaca Journal and Ithaca Times readers' polls. As our name implies, Common Ground is a colorful mixture of men and women of all nationalities, occupations, ages and sexual orientations. Everyone is welcome here .... gay, straight, bi, couples, singles, young or old ..... as long as you're cool to the scene. Our DJ team spins the best of club dance music every Friday and Saturday night. A spacious dance floor, large screen music video and a dance music library spanning the last 30 years, all add up to a fun night at Common Ground. Customers can also browse through our dance music database and request their favorite songs. Friday nights are usually younger-oriented and feature the Top 20 dance beats. Saturday nights quite often begin with some form of cabaret entertainment followed by dancing. Saturdays tend to be middle-aged and the music reflects that .... 80's and 90's dance music in addition to the most current hits. Our hours are 5:00pm - 1:30am Tuesday through Sunday (closed on Mondays). We are located at 1230 Danby Road (Rt96B), Ithaca, NY (directions).
